I've got a ton of photo stuff laying around my home as well as my studio that I no longer need. I'm sure there are other folks out there as well. Why don't we all meet at my studio with whatever photo related items we want to part with and see if we can find them a new home. Bring your items, large or small. If you have a spare lens cap or body cap you no longer need, maybe someone else does...Maybe you have a lens or camera body you want to sell, bring it.You set your own prices. People can…See More

I am a Louisville born musician and artist/photographer. I play bass in bands such as King Kong, Satchel's Pawnshop, and Anomoanon as well assorted others.
I graduated from the U of Louisville with a degree in Fine Arts in way too many years, as I have had a penchant for goofing off.
I have started this Ground-based, Low-altitude Aerial photography business (Bird's-Eye Elevated Photography) and hope to get it off the ground and keep it flying (so to speak). Due to the nature of the equipment, it really does offer views, angles, and perspectives that are literally NEVER before seen.
Hopefully, I can share some of my work and techniques, and get some constructive feedback....
I shoot from ground level, too, like normal people....
Really like the bird's eye perspective in your photos. I want to ask how you do it ... cherry picker? hot air balloon? helicopter... but that may be a trade secret. In any case, very nice.
I think you can use even more than 3 if you like, or maybe even just 2... I'm kind of new to it myself. The trick is to bracket with shutter speed, but it seems you might get add'l surrealism from screwing with the f-stop and combining different depth(s) of fields. I need to get out and shoot something... And yes, keep it static!
Hi Willie, long time no see! Thanks for the compliment. I do try to use ambient light on interiors whenever possible, but I usually end up using 2-3 add'l strobes on tripods for crispy coverage. I have 2 Alien Bees with faders for maximum control. Also, remember that short shutter speeds accentuate the flash, and longer ones lean toward the ambient. Shutter speeds of about 1/2 to 1 sec usually provide a nice balance. Have you played with any HDR techniques? I thinks that's the new frontier...
