I know I'm a little off the beaten path with this, but I shoot with Olympus equipment. I started off with them, just because it was the best feeling DSLR at the price point I was at, and have stuck with it into their new professional model which has the fastest auto-focus available when coupled with their new line of lenses. A great plus for action photography.
MY DIGITAL DARKROOM:
ADOBE CS4 Master Collection, Lightroom, and various plug-ins etc. on a 17" full keyboard notebook with a TB and a half of storage and an artistic tablet.
ABOUT ME:
Fell in love with photography at twelve. Turned down a scholarship to Syracuse University for Art and Photography in order to pursue a "more practical" career path which I never ended up working in. Finally decided after almost a dozen years to ditch the suit and tie life that I ended up in, to pursue that passion I denied so long ago.
My specialty at the moment is capturing people doing whatever it is they do, from sports and events, to weddings and candid-style portraiture. "Creativity In Action !" I also do a little commercial photography and some graphic design.
These days, event coverage is what is paying the bills, so I end up doing about a half dozen to a dozen events a week between various print and online media outlets, directly for certain organizations, and through various event planners, as well as about a dozen or so small weddings a year, and then head shots, family and individual protraits sessions sprinkled in, and the occasional commercial session.
I LOVE shooting artists, athletes, and musicians.
Since the majority of my work is on location, my home office does not consist of studio space. I have access to multiple venues throughout the city for clients who do not have their own locations.
Right now I have tens of thousands of images that no one has ever seen, and I'm investigating different ways to get them out there and hopefully make a little money off of some of them.
