Sara, thanks for your glowing comments on my family.  We have our moments, but in general we do know how to have fun!  The kids loved working you, as I knew they would.  I can't wait to see what you captured.  Speaking of…

I would love to learn first hand. Especially if I can learn to take these kind of photos. My night shots don't come out so well.

Trina, I was looking at your forum post (Learning and Book Questions), and I would be willing to give you a lesson on some of the basics. It's hard to really gather the nuances of photography from a book. You really need to see it first hand.…

Well it is a wonderful shot even though you had to jump through hoops so to speak. I hope to be able to get shots like that eventually.

On the technical side Trina, I shot this with my Canon 50D and a 10-22mm wide angle lens.........hanging over the edge of the building a little to capture this shot.

Well it took some doing. Fortunately for me my client is the wife of a big commercial real estate broker. He just happened to do the deal on the building in question. Even with that it took weeks to get permission. I had to sign wavers and agree not…

Ok I have to ask....how in the world did you get this photo? I mean I don't know alot of buildings that will let you on top of them but then again, I guess I am to scared to find out also. However, this is a great pic

Hey John,

I will send you an email in a second, but since I was here, I thought I would stop long enough to leave you a message.

I'm going over the footage from Saturday and am THRILLED with what we got!!!! We reeeeeeeallllllly got some great photos and I can't wait for you all to see them! I know that you will be very pleased.

Lindsey and Megan both have smile that literally light up a room! And so does Patsy. ;-) We even managed to get that red-cheeked Mr. Richarad Jones to laugh and smile like.....well....like it was his wedding day! HA!

I am very honored and feel very blessed to have been part of your day.

Call it what you want, but I am sitting here getting teary eyed just thinking about being chosen to help carry out the making of wonderful memories for you and your family. I'm also getting teary eyed, just looking at these photos. No kidding.

What a wonderful job you all did in every little detail of that day. The ballroom alone was every little girl's dream! When I get married again, will you be my Daddy? Wait.....that sounded better in my head. LOL!

Okay....back to work now before I cry all over my keyboard. LOL!

PS - I seem to recognize one of the models in your photos that are posted here. *giggle*. Again......you all are a beautiful family and I am honored to have you as friends and clients.

Completely a beginner. I do have the advantage of having a sister who was in the business with tips and advice on equipment.
I lived in the SouthWest 'burbs of Chicago for much of my life. I am enjoying the new city at my disposal here. :)

that really is the main thing for me right now, full frame, but you no what, the 50d is looking really nice. i have photographed so many dark weddings, i really could have used more iso in the past. i don't know about 26,000, but i'd like to give it a whirl. i'm torn. i have been going back and forth for some time on this, which to buy? i've got several pro friends who shoot 50d, they love it. that's about all i can say about that. actually, one more thing, after i switched to the full frame 5d, i really could use my lenses to their full potential. it made a big difference with my 50 & 85 1.2 especially. anyway, just something to think about.

do you ever shoot with a fisheye? i'm wanting one.

I use 5ds. I do have a 40d and from what I hear, the 50d is a huge improvement. I was actually thinking of getting a 50d. I had full intentions on upgrading to the 5d mk2, but for the price of the 50d, that just sounds too good to pass on. I'm just wrestling with the fact that the mk2 has ISO 26,000. WOW!
