Twitter Much?

I contemplated about putting this under the Business Section but I figured it would get moved.

Either way Twitter has become and is still developing into a great way to promote yourself and business, with a collaboration between twitter and facebook I have booked a couple shoots.

Oh, and, of course its fun!

I'm on the fence about twitter. I just have a hard time keeping my comments to under 150 characters.

I've just recently started playing around with Twitter just to see what the big deal is, and personally, I don't see what all the fuss is about. I've not set up the mobile version - I don't want that on my phone, but I just do the web version. I guess it has its purpose and I know a lot of people really like it, but I don't get it. I guess I tend to be somewhat protective (or maybe paranoid) of identity theft, hacking, etc., so my profile (or whatever it's called) I've marked as private. I'm sure I'd get more use out of Twitter if I make it public, and I did want to use it mainly for photography networking, but I don't really understand how to find people to follow.

i'm a twitter junkie .. but i'm a lot less of a junkie than i was about 3 months ago. sadly, scotty finally managed to pass me in the number total number of tweets ... **bows head in shame**

yea, more often than not, it's a means to send and read useless information but at times i've found things that i may not have seen otherwise .. from information on the weather to news events to who knows what else.

i will say that i hate that it's become so trendy .. i liked it better when i didn't hear about it on every dang TV show and will be glad when the trend dies off and it goes back to the way it was before ..

I don't get it, and the truth is I don't want to get it. Life is short. I spend enough time online as it is, and facebook works fine for me. I don't have an iphone and at this point I don't want one. I can't believe twitter says they are an antidote for info overload. that's crazy! I am open to being convinced, but so far I think enough is enough.
