Permalink Reply by Charles on February 4, 2010 at 2:50pm Rosemary, I didn't have any one individual in mind when I said that. I love all LPC'ers.....even Yono. I don't want to make anybody feel bad or guilty, certainly not you, but it would be a big deal for some of the newcomers if the more established types showed up and shared a few tips. Brittany, can you book one more? I always wanted pics of me snuggling with a German/Viking/Swedish chick. :)

One of the first meets was at the Bon Air branch of the LFPL. That's a possibility although not the most exciting possibility, unless the topics were maybe lighting and modeling, or something along those lines. If that were the case, the first person that comes to mind is Master Nikon Lightsmith: John Adkins. I think it would be cool to have a few words offered not only on Speedlites/Speedlights, but on studio strobes as well. I could bring in my 1600ws Interfit kit unless somebody prefers to bring in AlienBees. This could go on forever from lighting-metering-triggering-etc.

Permalink Reply by Brittany Murphy on February 4, 2010 at 8:58pm Wow...that's bad Brittany.....pay all the money for a vacation and have no memory of it, but hey, you have a pocket full of booze receipts for your scrapbook! The stories continue to live on. :)
But what you wear?....this could get complicated...somebody's going to have to dress up as a Swedish bikini model in order for Joey to bring his lights. :)
But seriously, I don't mind bringing my Interfit set. It's simple without a lot of extra controls. They will cover the basics just fine, unless the basics aren't enough for somebody that feels the need to discuss lighting in more detail.Either way.
If somebody would rather the meet head in a different direction then you might want to speak up. There's a few possibly interested in lighting but not sure about the whole interested party.

Permalink Reply by Christy Lochner on February 4, 2010 at 11:35pm I would much rather see a "Workshop" than a "Class". More of a hands on kinda thing. Everyone bring whatever lights etc... and folks can just bounce around and try new stuff.
As for where to do it, we just kinda need a big indoor area. The library was fine, but would be crammed.
Also, I vote for weeknights.
