I've talked it over with my profs and program director and I will be submitting for the student category of the Louie Awards. I've never done the Louies. Is there any advice, words of wisdom, do's and don'ts , that anyone has to share that I won't find on the website? I was told by my program director that photography submissions are done a bit differently than the other categories. It has to show how it would be used in an ad. I'm submitting my glass shoot that won first place for the color photography category in the recent JCTC Student Show. I'm a bit fuzzy about whether or not I'm supposed to ad text so it becomes a finished ad but will be clearing that up with my profs.
Some of you have already seen this and given me some great comments and feedback. :) Thank you for that. :)

Since this is an advertising/commercial art type thing some of you fine art photographers and hobbyists may not know what I'm talking about. It was explained to me like this. You know how the local stations compete for local Emmy Awards? Well the Louies are like that but for advertising. They have one division for pros and one for students. If you win locally then you go on to state and then hopefully nationals.
