That's right folks, time for another LPC Portrait Project. For those of you not familiar with this, those of you wanting to participate simply sign up by stating so in this thread. Say something like "Hey Ryan, I want me some of that Portrait Project goodness"! You have one week from today to enter.
A New Participatory Exercise So here's the idea: Everyone interested in participating simply signs up in this thread. No need to send me your personal info. DO NOT POST ANYTHING INTO THIS THREAD OTHER THAN A MESSAGE STATING THAT YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF THIS PROJECT. All other posts will be deleted. For discussion pertaining to this project, please start another thread. When everyone's names are in I start drawing pairs of names. Each pair arrange to meet within two weeks, at a place and time convenient to both to create a portrait of each other. This can be on location, in studio, at home, where ever, it's your choice. You can approach this like Avedon or Leibovitz shooting a magazine cover or you can approach this like a corporate headshot for an annual report. It doesn't matter what equipment the photographer chooses to use or not use. This is a creative exercise in artistic expression not a contest. No rules, no judging. You can begin submitting your names to me below in this thread. Please make sure you include something like "Hey Ryan, I'm in". The Deadline to enter is Tuesday March 23rd. Names will be drawn, matches will be made and contact info for your "partner" will be posted in a thread. When all portraits are complete we'll post them in their own gallery and each photographer will have the opportunity to explain what decisions they made to achieve the final portrait.
