Ok guys, do you really think this is going to be the new 'it' thing?  I can see how the appeal might be cool, and sure maybe awesome on a few artistic type portraits but.. i dunno I cant really see it being sold well.. what do you think?

Having to have 3D glasses is what kills 3D movies. My daughter won't watch an entire movie with the glasses on. I wear them everywhere because I like to look cool.

So, in 3D mode, this camera creates double-image photos. The LCD screen can display them to look like 3D. Aside from that, it seems to me, that your computer monitor would need to be special, or you would, in order to see 3D effects off of the camera. It says it has some kind of 3D printing function, too, but I didn't see any examples to blow me away.

Fuji is also making and selling special 3D viewers like "digital frames" for 3D viewing. More sales for them after you buy a camera that you can't do anything with the pictures. That viewer would be nice for weeks without fiber and you need motivation while in the bathroom.

I think the problem with this type of 3D is that it relies on a filter of some type between the viewer's eyeballs and the source material, whether it is 3D glasses or a special LCD screen. I would hate to have an important picture captured by this camera's 3D mode and in 10 years only my cross-eyed friends will be able to see it clearly.

Now I really hate Fuji They stopped making pro DSLR's in the S-series so they could make this gimmicky stuff. Nice.

It does look kind of neat. I wouldn't spend more than $14 for it, personally. But I could see the attraction to it for fun, at this point.
yea it blew my mind when they said the price for it.. $550+ thats just crazy for a point and shoot that will only work to certain functions... I read an article (cant find it anywhere) where they mentioned this could be the new thing for Pros.. so I thought I would ask already knowing the answer LOL
gimmick right now.
