I really like this!
Great contrast. I wish the top of the center guys head and the tip of his shoe were not cut off though.
That's really the only problem I have with it.
Nice shot.
I think this is an awesome composition and I love the monotones. The socks and the white behind them might be a tad bit too hot for me and I agree with Ryan on the guy in the center. Its a great shot though and I love the emotion you captured!
Great shot Adam. I'm surprised you didn't get stomped by a pissed-off ball team.... :}
Great Shot! I wish the top of the guys head wasn't cut off either, but it still shows a lot of emotion.
I had to laugh at myself, because at first I did not read the explanation at the top of the photo. And for a second, I thought maybe they saw you coming and they were trying to hide their faces. That happens to me a LOT at weddings! People see me coming their way and they turn their heads and act like they don't see me. As IF that is going to stop me from taking the shot I want. As if!
I like the creamy sense of defeat that this image conveys. However, I think it is too dark as a B&W. This is probably more my opinion than anything, but I don't like B&W with large dark areas and large numbers of highlight areas. It seems cluttered that way.

By cutting off the top of the head and not the feet, I think the focus is drawn to their socks and legs. I would try to tighten the crop to remove the guys on the edges of the frame as much as I could to put emphasis on the guys with the emotion, even if you nip parts of their legs or shoulders. But if the original has more space at the top, I would work it back in.

I cropped it, removing part of the feet, mostly because I wanted to chop the guys on the end and keep the same dimensions, but by cutting the toes, I think it puts the focus closer to where you want it. I did a little burn around the edges, like a vignette, and I dodged the highlights a little to make them somewhat larger so the image isn't as dark.

Its what I think and just my two cents. I like it.
