camera equipment insurance

i'm in the process of moving and would like to know if there is anyway i can insure my equipment. my first camera was stolen along with all the photos on it back in 2005 when i switching airports in NYC while coming back from south Africa. that's something that i never want to relive, but if i did, i would like to at least know my camera was insured.

any suggestion would be great.

You might want to call your current homeowner's insurance company/agent and speak with them about it. When I was in school our teachers always advised us to do that and see what was automatically covered and how much it would cost to add extra coverage. Since you're moving I'm sure you don't have a lot of free time, but if you can I'd take pics of all the equipment, label them with rough estimates of value, and then email them to yourself.
