Permalink Reply by Rosemary C-B on March 23, 2009 at 9:33pm Good to know about the dropping issue. Did that happen with a single strap? Can you explain a little more about running your strap connectors through the buckle? I'm a little confused about that part, but it sounds like something I may want to try with my camera just to make sure it's safe.

I love it and it is much more comfortable than the two normal straps. I do have to warn everyone though as they have come unlatched and dropped at least one camera before. I have never had a problem but I heard of at least one situation where the connector somehow got twisted and dropped a camera. You can read more about the problem here.
When I use them I actually run part of my strap connectors through the black rapid buckle as a fail safe. It looks a little odd but it does not bother me and I feel safer having the extra protection.
I relaly love it though. Just wanted to make every one aware of the possible dangers. They have introduced a locking ring and I ordered it but I have not received it yet, they said at WPPI that they are having trouble with the manufacture of the locking ring.
