I recall a motorcycle shop on Southside Drive that was painted in a bunch of crazy colors. There were a lot of metal sculptures around, even an airplane tail on the roof of the building. Every day I would pass this place I would notice something different about it. This sounds funny to say but I miss it. I would love to have a print, scan or even poloriod of it.

The building was razed around 1987. Might UofL photo archives have this photo? Is there anywhere else I could check?

I volunteer at the Photo Archives dept. a few days a week, and while I don't know a whole lot about the collection yet, they DO have quite a lot of interesting stuff. I'm supposed to go in tomorrow if my car's fixed in time--Friday if it isn't. I'll be glad to check it out for you.
thank you, thank you, thank you. It was a house that was converted to a motorcycle related store. The dominate colors were purple and red (the same hues as fedex)
Do you remember the address, by any chance?
Looking at the map today it was between 7078 and 7124 Southside drive, the even address side of the street.
Just wanted to let you know that I got some good suggestions on collections to look through but haven't had time yet. I'll do it this week, but if I don't then I'll pass the info on to you so you can look when you get a chance.
