Selling an almost new 5D SLR. The camera has less than 2000 actuations on it. It would include a Canon BG-E4 battery grip and an extra battery. Would also include all the boxes and associated manuals/papers. It is also being sold with a 50 f/1.8 lens and UV filter

5D+BGE4+Extra Battery+50 f/1.8

body only?
And the grip, yes.
$2000 for someone local
Adam, you planning the leap to the Mark II coming out?
Most definitely.

2000 OBO on this. Its only 2 months old, still have the warranty cards blank, original boxes/cables/manuals for the camera and the grip. Last picture I took with it was 17XX so its less than 2000 actuations.

Okay - two questions - at the risk of sounding dumb..... give me the rundown on the difference between a 40D and the 5D? (Humor me, so I don't have to go and look it all up.)

And - the difference between the 5D and the Mark II?

*wipes drool away from mouth* Whoa!
Seems like the Mark II is worth the wait.
40D is a crop camera (1.6x), 10MP, 6FPS, 14bit.
5D is full frame (1x) 12.8mp, 3FPS, 12bit, bigger viewfinder, true wide angles, better subject isolation.

5D has been known since its launch as a pretty magical camera. I dont think theres a wedding photographer out there who hasnt used, or wanted to use, a 5D at some point in their career. Until lately, its really been at the top of the hill as far as IQ goes. Theres a few factors that atrribute to this but mainly is the fact that it is full frame while only being 12.8 MP. This allows the camera to have larger individual photosites which betteres your signal:noise ratio and increases dynamic range. Its really an amazing camera and you can ask anyone who has ever owned one.

5DII is a 5D but with more MP, DigicIV, expanded ISO range, and a movie mode.

You should just go ahead and get this 5D ;) Its practically new!

Decided to throw in the 50 f/1.8
