The Louisville Photographic Society invites you to a program that includes a PowerPoint presentation and exhibition detailing the story of the self-publishing adventures of two photographers.

Gayle Moore and Tom Potter have exhibited their large-format black and white photographs both in the Midwest and the Northeast. After several such exhibits they were encouraged by collectors and friends to publish their images in book form. In November of 2009 an opening reception was held in their honor on the First Friday Mass Ave celebration in Indianapolis as they unveiled their two companion fine-art monographs, Wild Harmonies and Sensual Harmonies.

Gayle Moore’s work has been highlighted both on the cover and as the lead article in a recent edition of View Camera Magazine. Tom Potter has served as artistic director at several Indianapolis galleries and has taught photography workshops from Alaska to Costa Rica. Their darkroom facilities and studio are located in rural south central Indiana near Martinsville.

The meeting will be on April 14th starting at 7:30pm at the Episcopal Church Home, 7504 Westport Road. (Note: this is a retirement community, not a church.) Enter from the Westport Road entrance (next to the Speedway Gas Station), proceed left into the parking lot, and enter from the door with the white columns. Sign in at the desk. and go down the hall to the meeting room on the right.
